About the Tonkinese
Developed by crossing Siamese and Burmese to blend traits of both, resulting in a medium body type and a coat with subtle pointed-and-solid ('mink') shading. Medium-sized and muscular, with aqua-tinted eyes in many individuals.
Temperament
Social, playful, and vocal, though with a softer voice than the Siamese, the Tonkinese enjoys being involved in household activities and bonds closely with family.

Grooming needs
The short, fine coat needs only minimal, occasional brushing.
