During the kitten stage, feed a kitten-formulated diet to support steady growth, and keep vaccinations and deworming on schedule as recommended by a vet. Lacking a protective coat, the Sphynx needs regular bathing to remove oily buildup on the skin, along with ear cleaning and sun protection when outdoors. Starting a gentle grooming routine now, while a Sphynx kitten is small and adaptable, tends to make handling far easier once it's grown. This early window is also valuable for socializing a Sphynx kitten to people, other pets, and everyday household sounds.
⚠️ Watch for
Most of the conditions linked to Sphynx cats tend to appear later in life, so this stage is mainly about tracking normal growth: steady weight gain, bright eyes, a good appetite, and normal litter box habits. If anything looks off this early — such as lethargy, rapid or labored breathing, reduced appetite, or fainting spells — a prompt check-in with a vet is worthwhile rather than waiting.
