Care recommendations — Kitten stage

During the kitten stage, feed a kitten-formulated diet to support steady growth, and keep vaccinations and deworming on schedule as recommended by a vet. The silky single coat has little undercoat and rarely mats, so twice-weekly brushing keeps it smooth. Starting a gentle grooming routine now, while a Balinese kitten is small and adaptable, tends to make handling far easier once it's grown. This early window is also valuable for socializing a Balinese kitten to people, other pets, and everyday household sounds.

⚠️ Watch for

Most of the conditions linked to Balinese cats tend to appear later in life, so this stage is mainly about tracking normal growth: steady weight gain, bright eyes, a good appetite, and normal litter box habits. If anything looks off this early — such as clumsiness in dim light, dilated pupils, or reluctance to jump onto familiar surfaces — a prompt check-in with a vet is worthwhile rather than waiting.

This information is general and educational — it isn't a substitute for advice from your veterinarian, who knows your individual cat's health history.
