The short, fine coat needs minimal upkeep; occasional brushing is enough to keep it glossy. Starting a gentle grooming routine now, while a Burmese kitten is small and adaptable, tends to make handling far easier once it's grown. This early window is also valuable for socializing a Burmese kitten to people, other pets, and everyday household sounds.

Most of the conditions linked to Burmese cats tend to appear later in life, so this stage is mainly about tracking normal growth: steady weight gain, bright eyes, a good appetite, and normal litter box habits. If anything looks off this early — such as muscle weakness, a stiff-legged walk, or a downward head droop — a prompt check-in with a vet is worthwhile rather than waiting.
