About the American Curl
Descended from a single stray cat with unusual ears found in California in 1981, this breed is defined by its backward-curling ears, which begin to curl within days of birth. Found in both shorthaired and longhaired varieties, in nearly any color or pattern, with a medium-sized, semi-foreign body.
Temperament
Affectionate, adaptable, and playful, the American Curl tends to keep a kitten-like curiosity well into adulthood and bonds closely with family members.
