About the Abyssinian
One of the oldest known cat breeds, with roots possibly tracing back to the Indian Ocean coasts before being refined in Britain in the 19th century. Slender and muscular, with large ears, almond-shaped eyes, and a distinctive ticked coat in which each hair carries several bands of color. Ruddy, red, blue, and fawn are the most familiar colors.
Temperament
Active, curious, and highly intelligent, the Abyssinian loves to climb, investigate, and stay involved in whatever its people are doing.

Grooming needs
The short, fine ticked coat needs only occasional brushing to stay glossy and remove loose hair.
