In adulthood, the priority for a Turkish Angora shifts toward maintaining an ideal body weight through portion-controlled meals and plenty of active play, climbing opportunities, and puzzle feeders to match its naturally energetic nature. The silky, single-layer coat has little undercoat and resists matting; weekly brushing is usually sufficient. Pairing this with a yearly wellness exam and routine dental checks helps catch subtle changes early, even while the cat seems to be thriving.

In adult Turkish Angora cats, it's worth staying alert for early signs such as reduced response to sounds or being called or bad breath, drooling, or reluctance to eat hard food. These can be subtle at first, so raising them during an annual exam rather than waiting for them to worsen is a sensible approach given this breed's health background.
