About the Bombay
Developed from the 1950s through the 1960s by crossing Burmese with black American Shorthairs to create a miniature 'black panther' look. Medium-sized and muscular, with a sleek, patent-leather-like black coat and striking copper or gold eyes.
Temperament
Affectionate and people-oriented, the Bombay is playful and often described as dog-like in its willingness to follow its owners from room to room.
