Provide a steady mix of interactive play sessions and quiet downtime suited to its moderate energy level, since cats at this age typically have energy to spare. Keep up the grooming habits introduced in kittenhood so they remain a normal, low-stress part of handling.

It's still uncommon at this age to see clear signs of the conditions Scottish Fold cats are predisposed to, but it doesn't hurt to ask a vet whether early baseline screening makes sense. Keep an eye out for a stiff or shortened gait, especially affecting the tail and legs, or stiffness, reduced jumping, or a drop in overall activity level, and mention anything unusual at routine visits.
