The dense double coat needs weekly brushing, with more frequent sessions during seasonal shedding. Starting a gentle grooming routine now, while a Manx kitten is small and adaptable, tends to make handling far easier once it's grown. This early window is also valuable for socializing a Manx kitten to people, other pets, and everyday household sounds.

Most of the conditions linked to Manx cats tend to appear later in life, so this stage is mainly about tracking normal growth: steady weight gain, bright eyes, a good appetite, and normal litter box habits. If anything looks off this early — such as hind-limb weakness or difficulty with bladder or bowel control — a prompt check-in with a vet is worthwhile rather than waiting.
